During an unplanned and unexpected trip to Vegas, I got a chance to explore the strip a little more. Sometimes when travelling, a little bit of comfort food is in order...something crispy, greasy and warm. Some Fish & Chips would hit the spot and what better place grab this indulgent meal than at the iconic Gordon Ramsey's Fish & Chips over at the Link Promenade.
Perhaps my expectations were set a bit high and perhaps the cost was a bit pricy, it just didn't quite hit the spot. But very grateful to have met a great family who might have noticed my disappointment and offered a great suggestion for what they think is Vegas' Best Fish & Chips. It's just a 10-15 minute walk off the Vegas strip and offers incredible value at $13 with massive portions! Can this be true? I intended to find out.
A quick walk over to @Ellis Island Casino & Brewery and I started to get excited looking at their 24hr menu with an offering of a great steak dinner for only $10! Preceding into the restaurant and ordering the Fish & Chips, I was certainly not disappointed! Huge portions as promised and crispy fish & chips were delivered... but it gets better! Upon talking to my server Tina, she suggested an off menu item called the Double-Cut Prime Rib! Coming in at a whopping 32oz portion with all trimmings and courses, it was a daunting task to finish the meal! Surprising, finishing the prime rib was not an issue; tender and juicy with just the perfect striations of fat and beef, the prime rib was devoured in record time and with gusto! Definitely worth the visit!
