  • First Friday remains paused while the city reviews safety plans
  • Participating artists each receive a $100 stipend

First Friday is still on pause, but downtown's Arts District will hold an art crawl on Friday, Nov. 6, from 6 to 9 p.m., the night the monthly festival would normally take place.

The Arts District Action Coalition is organizing the crawl with the 18b Arts District board. Instead of street vending, local artists will show and sell their work inside participating shops, bars and galleries around Main Street. Each participating artist will receive a $100 stipend.

Organizers say moving the event indoors is part of their safety plan. Coalition members will walk the neighborhood during the crawl and stay in contact with participating businesses, and the group is coordinating with Las Vegas police. Some participating venues are 21 and over, so bring ID.

First Friday was paused after a deadly shooting in the Arts District. City leaders and organizers say they are reviewing safety plans before bringing the full event back.
