Starting with a dark bassline and stripped down 80s drums, Matt’s (The Undercover Dream Lovers) haunting vocals question identity, relationships. We’re caught off guard when the song shift gears, as Matt’s voice reaches its higher pitch on the irresistible « Oh Dani » chorus line.
From darkness to light, somewhere between witch house, synth pop and disco, Dani is a song full of contrasts, ending in a swirling, psychedelic finish.
‘Dani’ is Zimmer’s third single of his upcoming LP, recorded in The Undercover Dream Lovers’ Los Angeles garage on a magical autumn day.
