In 1931, gambling license were issued to casinos on Fremont Street. It has been featured in many movies and television shows over the years. In 1994, the Fremont Street Experience was built as a pedestrian mall and attraction. Fremont Street is the second most famous street in Las Vegas only behind Las Vegas Boulevard. Today, Fremont Street is an entertainment and gaming destination in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas. There are three stages in the Fremont Street Experience as well as a zip line Slotzilla. Along the Fremont Street Experience, there are many street performers. It is home to many famous casinos like The D Casino & Hotel, Four Queens, Fremont Hotel & Casino, Golden Nugget, Binion's, Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, and Circa Resort and Casino.
