Special Coverage: Oakland A's Move to Las Vegas Would Include Demolition of Tropicana Hotel Casino
Episode Description
Change of plans! We told you the Oakland A's baseball team is looking to move to Las Vegas. There was a binding land deal to build a stadium on property just to the west of the strip... but now, there's a new deal. We chat with The Nevada Independent's Howard Stutz. He's the Senior Reporter for gaming and tourism. His latest article that broke this story says, "Sources with knowledge of the negotiations told The Nevada Independent on Tuesday that under the scope of the deal, Bally’s plans to demolish the Tropicana and allow the A’s to construct a 35,000-seat retractable roof stadium on 9 acres of the 34-acre site on Tropicana Avenue near the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip."
We break down all the information with Howard in this bonus episode.
