This week, Ira spoke with Keith Thompson, Founder/Host of The Composers Showcase, which is celebrating its 17th anniversary on April 5 in Myron’s at The Smith Center. In this episode of “Talk About Las Vegas,” Keith talks about the beginnings of the showcase; how it grew over the years; his process for auditioning talent; why the showcase has become an important part of his life; and how he balances it with his own career. 







Keith Thompson is an award-winning musical director, arranger, composer and producer. He is the founder and host of The Composers Showcase, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a platform and forum for composers and songwriters to share their original musical creations at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas. He was named a 2022 Performing Arts Fellow by the Nevada Arts Council.
