Dominick Lee is an Emmy nominated, Edward R. Murrow Award recipient photographer who joined the Journalism School faculty July 2021. He is a proud Mizzou graduate born and raised in Columbia, MO. Lee specializes in shooting video and the creation of transformative, graphical elements utilizing digital editing platforms and a wide array of technical applications. Before coming to the J-school, Lee was a special projects photographer and editor for the morning show at The Denver Channel — KMGH, located in downtown Denver, CO. Formerly, Lee worked as a photojournalist and editor for NBC News Channel 3 in Las Vegas, Nevada. His early career began as Chief Photographer for ABC 17 News — KMIZ in Columbia. He believes storytelling is at the core of what a journalist does. It is fundamentally an art in which we utilize all forms of communication to share experiences with one another through a common medium. Lee believes that everyone has a story… the question is, how will yours be told?
