In the early 1960’s Detroit, Michigan was developing one of the most distinct musical styles in the country, Motown. Legendary music producer Berry Gordy started Motown Records, which fused together the music of big band, jazz and R&B for one of the most unique sounds ever created. It was with the start of Motown that music legends Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, and Tina Turner thrived, and where a young Jennifer “Jin Jin” Reeves began to find her own voice.
You may know her as the soulful voice behind the hit Las Vegas show, Motown Revue Hitzville The Show at V Theater inside Planet Hollywood, a job she’s spent her whole life working towards. As a young child Jennifer, aka Jin Jin Reeves was heavily involved in dance, songwriting and singing but as she got older she realized her skill set was missing one important entertainment tool, acting. As Jin Jin spent her pre-teens studying acting, Detroit was hitting its own artistic peak and emerging as the place for budding artists. This gave Jin Jin the opportunity she needed to make a name for herself
