Episode Description
Days 4 + 5 of our road trip down to Las Vegas took us to the Las Vegas strip. We met up with some of our DC friends: Jean and Mark. Our adventure began at the Minus5 ICEBAR at the Mandalay Bay resort. After chilling for an hour, we had another round of drinks next door at the 1923 Prohibition Bar. Our night out continued with walking around some of the casinos and then dinner at Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant.
On Day 5 we met up with Taste Buzz Food Tours just outside the Bellagio fountains where we went on an amazing foodie journey on the strip. Our tour guide, Kathy (who is also the company founder), gave us the history of Las Vegas and many of the casinos and resorts on the strip. Our first stop took us to enjoy some LA street food with some bacon wrapped hot dogs and street corn from Dirt Dog. We were so impressed that we returned for more before returning home 😉 The next food stops included: Flour & Barley Brick Oven Pizza (the fried Brussels sprouts were incredible), Honolulu Cookie Company, and Sugarcane Las Vegas (where Anna melted over the beignet).
We try to take a food tour every time we visit a new place: not only because we want to know what to eat but because we always make so many new friends!
