The Oyo Hotel and Casino, the budget property at 115 E. Tropicana Ave. just east of the Strip, has temporarily stopped selling alcohol. Signs on the property say the pause began at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
Vital Vegas also confirmed on Friday that no alcohol was being sold or served at the property. Oyo has not said why the sales stopped or when they will resume. The Review-Journal reported that no manager was available to comment, and that Clark County's business license department, which oversees liquor licensing, is closed on Fridays.
This is the second pause in about a year. In October 2025, Oyo stopped selling alcohol for 10 days after it ended its management agreement with Highgate Hotels, which held the property's liquor license, according to the Review-Journal.
If you're staying at Oyo or planning to stop in for a drink, plan on getting one somewhere else for now. We'll update this story when sales resume.
