It's Big Game Time!

By Jennifer Minagil

Each year, February brings the seasons most important football game to the table.  Who will win the big game, the Eagles or the Chiefs?  That question is a bit too soon to answer, despite what fans have to say on the topic.  This doesn't get us any less excited for some of the superb events taking place in just a few weeks' time.  Take a look at our recommendations below to make your time in Vegas the best yet!

Big Game Watch Parties

If you're seeking something all-inclusive during the game, you might want to buy-in to one of the over the top viewing parties.  From the Strip and beyond, these parties are a-plenty!

At The LINQ Promenade, Brooklyn Bowl is hosting a Big Game 2023 Viewing Party.  For $130 per person, the cost includes access to a buffet and all-you-can-drink well drinks & draft beer.

Circa Sportsbook hosts the Big Game Bash! Starting at $300 per person, the cost does increase depending on your chosen packages.  It's sort of like a cruise.  Your viewing location, the type of food and drink you want to enjoy all impact your experience and total price.  As the largest sports betting experience in the world, Circa has got you covered with a 1,000 person viewing capacity and three stories of seating.  You won't want to miss this.

Also located at Circa is the fantastic year-round outdoor heated pool, Stadium Swim, hosting the Big Game Viewing Party 2023.  For $150, you'll be granted Field Access standing room only tickets with 1 drink voucher (good for a beverage $18 and under) and the Big Game buffet.

Inside Mandalay Bay, House of Blues is hosting their Big Game Viewing Party as well.  Starting at just $86 per person, you'll reserve a seat in the balcony of the venue, and access to the all you can eat buffet.  Beverages (single or package options) are additional.

A bonus item that we're excited to mention is the Biggest Game Bash 2023 being held at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.  Admission is FREE (yes, you read that right).  As there is an age minimum of 21 to attend the event, you'll need to leave the kiddos with a sitter.  Food and beverage are available for purchase, so you definitely won't go hungry -  you can also indulge in a game of beer pong with friends!

You can click the event names shown in this article for additional information and purchase options.  There are many other watch parties available to discover on VegasNearMe, these are only a few of our suggestions.

NFL Stores, Photo Ops & Card Shops

The arrival of Major League sports to the Las Vegas valley has put a massive smile on our faces.  Just walking down the Strip, you'll notice there is no shortage of sports fans based on the number of team jerseys and hats you'll see.  If you're inspired to get some new swag, we have just the right places to direct you to!

Las Vegas now has an NFL Las Vegas store inside the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, where you can get a hold of memorabilia with every NFL team name and logo you could imagine.  The store has some awesome displays and insta-worthy art, so even if you're watching your budget, it's worth a stop in at this store just to take a look around.

If you're in the market for some collectible sports memorabilia to take home with you, check out Power Play Sports Collectibles (Boulevard Mall), Ultimate Sports Cards (Neonopolis), Tristar Sports & Celebrity Memorabilia (locations in the Fashion Show mall and Miracle Mile shops), Legacy Sports Cards (Fort Apache & Flamingo), or Field of Dreams (locations in the Grand Canal Shops and Forum Shops).

Stadium Tours

With a capacity of 65,000 for NFL games (and expandable to over 71,000), Allegiant Stadium is one of the newest kids on the block when it comes to stadiums.  In 2020, the Raiders relocated from Oakland, CA to their new home in Nevada.  With their first NFL season in Vegas held with no spectators due to the pandemic, they've had some time to settle in and have begun calling Vegas their stomping grounds.

Whether you are a Raiders fan or simply a Stadium Tour junkie like yours truly, an impressive stadium tour is offered at Allegiant.  Starting at $65.99, not only will this tour give you the opportunity to step out onto the field for a BIG wow moment, you'll be led into private areas such as suites, clubs, the Broadcast Booth, the Press Conference room, and more.  If you're feeling fancy, there is an upgraded experience for $20 additional, which includes a beverage and snack.  Event dates and times are subject to change until booked. Fear not, if any part of the tour needs to be adjusted on the date you've chosen due to previously scheduled in-house events, the reservation page will let you know.

Local NFL Bars & Restaurants

For anyone seeking "their people", fans who'd like to knock back a beverage or get their snack on with like-minded folks should seek out the following:

  • Philadelphia Eagles Bars/Restaurants: Torrey Pines Pub, Chickies & Petes, or Straight from Philly
  • Kansas City Chiefs Bars/Restaurants: Blue Diamond Saloon, RoadRunner Saloon or Beer Park.

Sportsbooks

In 2010, Nevada legalized online sports betting - making it possible for you to place a bet on the Big Game in person during your visit. If you're the betting type, and are feeling confident - you'll definitely want to place a bet at a local Sportsbook.  There is money to be made!  We've included some of our favorites below for you to scope out.

If you want to see what other betting locations are available, there are dozens of Sportsbook locations in the VegasNearMe app!  Just tap Gambling, then tap Sportsbooks.
Last but not least, don't forget - Las Vegas will host the Big Game in 2024 at Allegiant Stadium!   Until then, party safe.  You can tap the Get A Ride button from any item in the VegasNearMe app if you're in need of sober transportation.  Our city thanks you, we thank you, and your families thank you.  We at VegasNearMe look forward to seeing you this time next year!
