About Robert E. 'Bob' Price Park
The Robert E. “Bob” Price Recreation Center and Park opened on March 3, 2009, on the 25th wedding anniversary of its namesake and his wife, Nancy. In 1984, it was the third marriage for both of them, so they chose to be married on the third day of the third month. The park and recreation center, bearing the veteran Nevada assemblyman’s name, officially opened at 3:33 p.m. Since then, the 7-acre park has been a welcome addition to neighborhood with Sunrise Park located a block to the northwest and the Cora Coleman Senior Center next door. With about half of the entire park acreage developed, providing outdoor basketball courts, a recreation center and plenty of open space, this park is a good spot for the whole family, no matter the anniversary.
