Join me on a Friday night walking tour of Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. Fremont Street Experience is an entertainment and gaming destination in the heart of Las Vegas. It is the 5 westernmost blocks of Fremont Street that was once known of "Glitter Gulch." Fremont Street is home to El Cortez Hotel & Casino, The D Casino & Hotel, Fremont Hotel & Casino, Four Queens Hotel & Casino, Binion's Gambling Hall & Hotel, Golden Nugget Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, and Circa Resort & Casino. Fremont Street dates back to 1905, the year Las Vegas was founded. In 1931, gambling license were issued to casinos on Fremont Street. There are free nightly cover bands and DJ on three stages along the Fremont Street Experience. In 1994, the Fremont Street Experience was built as a pedestrian mall and attraction. Fremont Street is the second most famous street in all of Las Vegas only behind Las Vegas Boulevard. It is home to the SlotZilla Zipline Las Vegas. On this weekend was the home opener for the Las Vegas Raiders who were taken on the Pittsburg Steelers, so a lot of Steelers fans were at Fremont Street.
