Episode Description
I was due to stay at Westgate Las Vegas. Their Superbook and International Theatre have always been a staple during my annual March Madness trips to catch their basketball viewing parties. While I've spent a lot of time at Westgate over the years, I had never spent the night!
I booked a Signature King room, Westgate's cheapest option, and paid $84.50 including resort fees and taxes. Upon booking I provided my email address to become a "World of Westgate" member which was free and scored me a $75 dining credit.
The room was barebones, but massive. It was perfectly functional, although it being slightly beat up and in need of a refresh. The view was premium!
Highlights at Westgate include a solid dining line up, highlighted by the Benihana Village, that literally feels like a city within the restaurant space. I ordered the steak and eggs at Sid's Cafe which included a 12-oz NY Strip and was a massive meal. I would have beed two to-go boxes!
Westgate's fitness facility is one of the best in Las Vegas with tons of modern equipment, free weights, and a Smith machine.
The pool scene is underrated in my opinion as it is big, offers nice views of the north Strip, and beats out a lot of mid-Strip resorts.
Westgate is monorail connected which I found to be cheap, easy to use, convenient, and I used this amenity way more than expected. I should have bought the 24-hour e-pass. Westgate's northern off-strip location had zero impact on me visiting mid and south-strip restaurants and resorts.
