The Composers Room was conceived in part as a tribute to Damian Costa’s family tradition of making Las Vegas show business a way of life. Damian’s grandmother and two grandfathers were involved in the local entertainment scene beginning in the 1960s. His paternal grandfather, Tony Costa, was a concert pianist and songwriter, vocal director for Vic Damone, as well as a conductor for famous shows such as 'Jubilee!' and 'Gypsy' on Broadway.
