Pancho Barraza

From his debut album onward, Mexican singer-songwriter Pancho Barraza paved his way to banda’s most tender and
romantic side, las romántica. He’s also dabbled in mariachi — his 1997 album, Invéntame Un Amor, featured the cumbia
chart-topping song “Pero La Recuerdo.”

By his fourth release, El Vagabundo Que Te Ama, the lovelorn crooner proved that his expertise lies in his adventurous
banda romancers. That 1998 album offered “Mi Enemigo El Amor” — a heartrending smash whose online streams have
been clocked at 44 million on Spotify. To date, Barraza boasts nearly 40 albums, including numerous live recordings
and compilations.
