Kate's Island Shop

At Kate’s Island Shop we believe there are so many desperate needs in the world. Because of this we donate a portion of all proceeds to a different charity each month. Choosing these charities are possibly the hardest part of my job. We will also only support fair trade practices. Every product, every single product is created by artisans all around the world (many made right here in the store). The reason this is so important to us is, human suffering is unacceptable and happens all around us without our knowledge. I was horrified when I found out that 4% of all the worlds crystals are done with fair trade practice…. That means 96% of stones are done using slave labor, many using the same practices as blood diamonds. This is one of many examples. We are rising up and taking a stand. No more human suffering.
