## About

This park offers a lasting tribute to firefighters. John Banks, a local artist and former firefighter, created the "Symbol of a Fallen Firefighter,” a 20-foot bronze and granite statue of a pickaxe and a fire helmet. Several plaques surround the statue and contain the names of fallen firefighters, poems, prayers and historical background.
